Research / responsibilities

My work as lab technician of the Stem Cell lab is mainly focus on cell culture. I am part of the team that is taking care of the process of making IPSC (induced pluripotent stem cells) starting from patient’s derived fibroblasts or blood. I also differentiate the IPSC towards neurons, astrocytes, oligodendrocytes and microglia cells. Currently I am working on setting protocols for culturing the different types of cells that we differentiate form IPSC together into 2D or 3D culture systems. I am also involved in the generation of brain organoids.
